Blizzard Research
A blizard occurs because a cold air mass moves out of the Arctic into the temperate zone. Cold air rises along the boundary between the two air masses. This boundary is called a cold front.

Blizzard's mostly happen in the dangerous cold mass that produce blizzards They usally come from the North Pole ,South Pole in the central Unitied, British, cloumbia, canada,and rocky montains although Blizzards are actually not as commonin the U.S as in some parts of the world but, they say the blizzards in the U.S are more dangerous because the less prepared in the U.S

Blizzards are characterized by low temperatures, accompanied by winds that are at least 35 mph or greater, there must also be sufficient falling and or blowing snow in the air that will frequently reduce visibility to 1/4 mile or less for a duration of at least 3 hours. A severe blizzard is considered to have temperatures near or below 10°F, winds exceeding 45 mph, and visibility reduced by snow to near zero. Blizzard conditions often develop on the northwest side of an intense storm system The difference between the lower pressure in the storm and the higher pressure to the west creates a tight pressure gradient, which in turn results in very strong winds. These winds combine with snow and blowing snow to produce extreme conditions. Storm systems powerful enough to cause blizzards usually form when the jet stream dips far to the south, allowing cold air from the north to clash with warm air from the south. With the colder and drier polar air comes atmospheric temperatures cold enough for the development of snow, sleet, or freezing rain.

Sewer Treatment Blog
1. I did not go to the sewage plant but by talking to fellow classmates i learned the sewage comes into the plant and the first thing they do is filter out all the junk, then all the sewage is put into a big container with lots of microorganisms that use the sewage as their food source. Finally they send the clean water across UV lights that kill the germs. They use to use chlorine but the spill risk was too high and too dangerous.
2. Recycling is important for many reasons, One main reason is to save the environment by not taking raw materials from the earth we do not need, I am going to continue to recycle so i can do my part saving raw materials and keeping earth healthy. Some things i will recycle are paper, plastic, and other metal materials.

2. The city added pourus parking lots to absorb water.
3. The quality of the river will increase greatly, because the road we have now just add to the river pollution.
4. My group was not responsable for a test.
5. I just think its interesting how much the city is trying to help the quality of the river.
6. My biobottle has about 2 plants growing and lots of grass, they are all a few inches high.
7. Me and my partner go around collecting paper and bottles once a week.
